Biography

I am a 23-year old college grad looking to live a life of service for my Lord.  I came to know Christ when I was in high school, but it was really at Purdue University when I began to walk with God.  I owe a tremendous debt to The Navigators Christian ministry at Purdue – they gave me opportunities to lead, to minister, to serve and to fellowship with people who are now more like family than friends.

I spent a summer working in Washington DC with the Navigators on Capitol Hill, learning how to be a light for Christ in the workplace.  After that, I spent a year teaching English in South Korea where God got me alone and laid His hand of teaching upon me.  It was easily the most difficult year of my life so far, but it carried the most purpose.  God was transformed from a 2-dimensional entity in my mind to a very real, personal friend and Father who not only kept the Earth in orbit and threw the stars in the sky, but also walked with me to the bus stop and helped me buy toilet paper in a place where I couldn’t speak or be understood.  And it was in the everyday that God became real to me.

I returned from Korea in October, and started looking at my life objectively.  And more than anything, I wanted to serve.  To just put myself fully in God’s toolbox for Him to pluck out at will.  Sometimes God gives people money to do His will with, and sometimes He gives time.  As for now, I am rich in time, and am trying to spend it wisely – for someday, it will be gone.
